Families would leave out a delicious tray of milk and cookies as a gesture of thanks. And so, the tradition of Christmas began, celebrated each year on December 25th, filling hearts with warmth and joy.

As the years rolled by, small villages grew into bustling towns, which expanded into magnificent cities and before long, entire countries, all embracing the magic of Christmas! The task became too great for one man alone, and that's when I called upon all the wonderful [Insert Parent Titles] around the world to help keep the Christmas spirit alive!

Option 5: End of an Era

I’ve noticed you have started to wonder if I am real or not, maybe you’ve heard whispers at school, or [Insert venue, e.g football].

I have had many names over the years; Santa Claus, Saint Nicholas, Klaus, Father Christmas, and more. I am the bringer of tradition, the celebration of family and friends, and a symbol of love and happiness.

I lived many years ago, in a small village and created the Christmas celebration as a way of bringing people together. I worked hard creating wooden gifts for the village in my workshop, the children would write me letters about their hobbies and interests so that I could make them something special that they could share with their families and friends.

It took me a long time to make all the toys, and I would often have to drop them off in the night whilst everyone was sleeping. The families decorated areas of their homes with a Christmas tree, lights and stockings so that I would know where to place the gifts. They left out a tray of milk and cookies to say thank you. We continued the celebration of Christmas every year on the same day, December 25th, and in turn a tradition was born.

As the years went by, villages turned into towns, towns into cities, and cities into countries. Before long Christmas was being celebrated all around the world! The job became too big for just one man, and that’s when I asked all the Mum‘s and Dad’s in the world to continue the magic of Christmas and the traditions.

 

Eventually it was time for me to rest. But the Christmas tradition continued and grew. Loving parents and families have kept the magic of Christmas alive, creating joy and memories for their children. So whilst I may not be living anymore, I am very much alive through your traditions.
